A CMDA Ministry

Our events are tailored to women in medical marriages who seek to encourage one another on this journey as we stand by our husbands & walk with God.  We meet throughout the year for Bible study & prayer, social events, and service projects. Subscribe to access our events calendar.

Fall and Spring Bible Study

We meet every fall and winter/spring semester for a 6-8 week Bible Study, the first and third Fridays of the month. We watch a video on a certain book of the Bible or topical study and have a discussion and end in prayer together.

Social Events
We plan a variety of events throughout each semester to provide opportunities to get to know each other better. We meet once a month for week-day playdates, rotating at different SBS members homes. Family gatherings are also something we plan a few times a semester, meeting at parks, apple farms or people’s homes for potlucks. In previous years we have scheduled a couples night out in December, it’s a fun time to get out with our husbands.

Service Projects
Another main focus of Side By Side Madison is to work together to serve others in our community. Our most consistent project is to provide meals once a month for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We provide dinner for 20-25 people. Meals can either be made at the Ronald McDonald House or prepared ahead of time and dropped off at 5:00pm. At that time we have a few Side by Side members there to help set up the meal and make sure food is warm and ready to go. The Ronald McDonald House staff cleans up the meal once the guests are finished with the meal. Children are welcome to come and help set up the meal. We have also provided refugee supplies for Voice of the Martyrs, and provided food for local food pantries. We have also partnered with the Mother and Child Resource Ministry at Blackhawk Church, providing baby supplies to mothers in need in Madison.
